Coleen Grissom, Trinity University English professor, leads four sessions in which participants discuss two short stories. Each month, readers examine one story listed by literary critics as among “the best of the 21st century—so far.” The second story takes
inspiration from the Yayoi Kusama installation and is a story often classified as apocalypse fiction.
On August 22, readers discuss:
Zadie Smith’s “The Embassy of Cambodia”
Ray Bradbury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains”
Free with McNay membership or museum admission.
