LifeArt Film Festival San Antonio 2018
Presents Netflix Original Film Premiere

Friday and Saturday, September 14 & 15, 2018
Tobin Center for the Performing Arts

Free General Admission to all screenings and events

For the first time ever, Netflix and the LifeArt Festival are proud to bring to San Antonio the premiere of a Netflix Original Film, The Angel, directed by Ariel Vromen (who also directed Kevin Costner, Gal Gadot, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Reynolds, and Michael Shannon). Based on the New York Times best-selling book “The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel," the film tells the true story of Ashraf Marwan, the son-in-law of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, and special advisor to his successor Anwar Sadat. Marwan is perhaps the most famous spy of the history of the Middle East, and was regarded as a national hero in both Israel and Egypt.

The Angel premieres on Friday, September 14th, 2018 at 9 pm, followed by a Q&A with the Director and Cast. General admission is FREE, however, a response is required by visiting http://lifeartfestival.com/sanantonio.Please select the “RSVP Now” button.

This year’s LifeArt Festival in San Antonio will also include a forum for debate and collaboration on humanitarian issues and art forms and will focus on taking a stand against sex-trafficking in America. Panels will include dynamic discussions with public figures, experts, survivors, and law enforcement officials who are fighting sex trafficking. And leading activists share on how you can make a difference. The forum will feature the trailer for the upcoming film, “Sex Trafficking Made in America”, and will conclude with local heroes of the cause being honored by receiving the coveted “Zoe Award.”

Finally, join us for a magical evening that starts at sunset on Saturday at the Tobin River Walk Plaza, as we celebrate Life & Art together at a special closing party with actors, directors, producers, digital influencers, and movie and music lovers. Live music with one of the most requested DJs in the country, Cottrell Guidry, resident DJ for Soho House Hollywood and Malibu. Meet and greet, enjoy cocktails, and have fun!
