The term Svadhyaya literally means ‘one’s own reading’ or ‘self-study’. It is the fourth Niyama of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and has the potential to deepen your yoga practice way beyond the mat.
The aim of svadhyaya is to bring the experience of the immense Consciousness, the Self, to awareness. Through contemplative recitations, mantra meditation and letting yourself sit as a silent witness to the indwelling Consciousness, you will allow it to gradually awaken.
Learn the techniques for your own personal experience of self study and how to truly live your yoga off the mat.
